Tiger Reef is located in the channels between Pulau Sepoi and Pulau Labas. This site is definitely a highlight of diving around Pulau Tioman. It is marked with an anchor buoy and dive boats will normally trail lines from the stern and the bow to help divers get to the descent line or return to the boat.
Descending with the aid of the descent line to around 18m, the dive starts with a dive through a large jumble of volcanic boulders that rise to a depth of 10m and open into a canyon-like seascape. Shoals of batfish, yellow-lined barracudas, fusiliers and yellowtail snappers are present in large numbers. White-tip and black-tip reef sharks can also be seen occasionally. The walls between the boulders have a rich growth of gorgonians, sponges, sea fans, soft corals and table corals. Scores of nudibranchs, starfish, fan worms and sea cucumbers litter the seabed.
