Pulau Chebeh can be divided at either the northeast or southeast corner, depending on sea conditions and the current. The seascape surrounding the island is made up of very large volcanic rocks and boulders which extend to the sandy seabed at around 28m. These boulders and rocks create tunnels and passage that are perfect for diver to swim through and around.
The most prominent features at the southeast corner of the island are the many colorful Dendronephthya soft corals, large white gorgonian sea fans and some black coral. Shoals of trevallies, snappers and parrotfish are ever present as are sea snemones and clownfish, large groupers, spotted ray, different types of angelfish, butterflyfish, wrasses and spotted sweetlips. The boulders and rock on the sandy patches are home to colorful Christmas tree worms, sea stars, lizardfish, pufferfish, scorpionfish, stingrays, gobies and sea cucumbers. Moray eels tuck themselves away in the countless crevices and gaps.
