Bahara Rocks is made up of two rock structures rising from the island plateau. It typically experiences surface currents and is clearly marked by a light beacon for maritime traffic. Entry from a boat is away from the rocks that break the surface of the water. If the boat gets too close, you will be pushed into the rocks.
At a depth of around 15m to 18m, with the reef slope to your left, the seabed, strewn with boulders and rocky outcrops, has a healthy growth of very colorful soft corals ranging from purple to pink Dendronephthya to large blue, lemon, and pink gorgonian sea fans with featherstars clinging to their fragile latticework, black corals and huge barrel sponges. The typical population of marine life includes barracudas, angelfish, butterflyfish, humphead wrasses and parrotfish. At the deeper region where the coral growth tapers off into largely sandy patches, stonefish, crocodile fish, nudibranchs, black-tip reef sharks, nurse sharks and blue spotted ribbontail ray are not uncommon.
