Tanjung Gemuk is at the southeastern part of the island. Descending with a northerly current to the sandy seafloor at about 35m, the current can, at times, be challenging and turn the dive into a rollercoaster ride hurling the diver from rock to rock. Schools of golden trevallies, gobies with symbiotic shrimps, school of juvenile parrotfish, green turtle are some of the exciting encounters. Extending their polyps into the nutrient-rich current, a significant number of sea whips, gorgonians and sea fans populate the seabed.
