Pulau Nyireh is a favourite site for many divers who have been to Pulau Tenggol. Also known as the Highway to some, schools of pelagic fish ply along this 'channel' between Pulau Nyireh and Tokong Laut. The terrain is generally rocky with huge boulders that create walls, tunnels and swim-thrus. Schools of batfish, yellow-lined barracudas, fusiliers and yellowtail snappers are present in large numbers. Interesting coral formation spread on the walls between the boulders covered with gorgonians, sponges, sea fans and soft corals. Nudibranchs, sea cucumbers and starfish litter the bottom.
