
Pulau Tenggol, is about 50ha in size and is one of the most beautiful and serene islands off Peninsular Malaysia's east coast. It is also famous for its spectacular rocky cliffs that offer many excellent dive sites. Here, you can find pristine coral formations and a number of submerged rocks with excellent coral growths. The deep waters surrounding the island offer good visibility especially during the months of April until June. Marine life that can be seen here includes sharks, rays, nudibranch and a wide variety of hard and soft coral.
Getting There
By Flight - Malaysia Airline or Air Asia fly from from Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Terengganu or Kuantan. Get a taxi from the airport to the coastal fishing village of Dungun.
Public Transport - Take the express bus from Kuala Lumpur to coastal town of Jerteh and hop on to connecting bus or taxi to the coastal fishing village of Dungun.
By Road - Drive from Kuala Lumpur to Kuantan using the Karak Highway and Kuantan Highway. Once on the truck road follow the direction to Jerteh - Dungun.
