Pulau Lima small island located at the eastern side of Pulau Redang. The northern tip of Pulau Lima is known as the Big Mount. The site consists of huge boulders and pinnacle reaching 10m below the surface on the lanward side and have a bottom depth in excess of 40m. Tidal movements can cause strong currents at this site. The lower regions and sandy bottom feature large black coral swaying majestically in the current. A large variety of soft corals encrust the large boulders at progressively shallower depths in addition to whip corals, sea fans, gorgonians, nudibranchs, symbiotic anemone clownfish, damselfish, morey eels, schools of yellowtail snappers and host of other macro life.
At the southwest of Pulau Lima, it is known as Mini Mount, a smaller version of Big Mount. The boulders go down to a maximum depth of 20m. Submerged rocks and boulder are topped with prolific featherstars and soft corals. Occasional gorgonian fans and large sea fans cling to the granite faces. The sandy bottom is populated by blue-spotted stingrays and star puffers, yellowtail barracudas and resting nurse and white-tip sharks.
