Most of the diving activities are done at Pulau Payar, which is located aproximately 30km Southeast of Pulau Langkawi. Strict conservation laws enforced by marine park rangers around the island have help boasts the island with largest coral species in the country and most vividly colored soft corals. Although there's no accommodation available on island and visibility is not as good as the other dive sites on the East Coast of Malaysia, Pulau Payar still attracts many people because it has abundance of marine life. Jacks, Fusiliers, black tip sharks, barracudas and giant groupers are sighted on a regular basis.
